What you can expect
- Responsibility for ensuring a stable, secure, and high-performing operation of our IT infrastructure and core IT services
- Technical and operational management of our managed service providers, including monitoring service quality, SLAs, risks, and escalations
- Analysis of complex incidents and execution of root cause analyses to ensure the sustainable resolution of disruptions
- Planning, coordination, and implementation of changes, migrations, and infrastructure projects
- Development, enhancement, and standardization of operational processes, runbooks, and technical documentation
- Continuous improvement of monitoring, reporting, and automation solutions to increase efficiency and service quality
- Ensuring compliance with operational security and regulatory requirements, as well as supporting business continuity and disaster recovery concepts
- Close collaboration with internal departments, the Head of IT, and external service providers
- Development into a leadership role with responsibility for leading the IT Operations team
What sets you apart
As a (Senior) IT Operations Manager
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable technical field, or a completed IT-related vocational qualification combined with relevant professional experience
- At least 5 years of professional experience in IT Operations, IT Infrastructure, System Engineering, Cloud Operations, or Technical Service Management
- Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, and Microsoft Entra ID
- Experience with Active Directory as well as hybrid cloud and on-premises environments
- Solid understanding of networking, endpoint management, IT security, and backup and recovery processes
- Experience in incident, problem, and change management, as well as conducting root cause analyses
- Practical experience with IT service management processes, ticketing systems, and technical documentation
- Ideally, experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, Conditional Access, PowerShell, or Azure Automation
- Strong sense of ownership and commitment to high-quality results
- Analytical and structured mindset with the ability to solve complex problems sustainably
- High level of reliability, accountability, and transparent communication
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to different audiences
- Strong service and solution-oriented mindset combined with a pronounced sense of responsibility
- Enjoy working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external IT providers
- Self-driven approach and the motivation to see tasks through to successful completion consistently and independently
